Space mission Planetarium at Kuwait City and Madrid

This was an installation of the Z80 microcomputer-controlled, time-accurate remote control for 48 audio channels to automate the performances. This allows us to make the sound follow the planets, stars, and moon with appropriate music. The system is controlled via joystick.

DIRECT VERTICAL MANUFACTURING - DVM

We provide direct access to a powerful network of leading PCB and PCBA manufacturers in Shenzhen, Wuhan, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Since we are not tied to a single factory, we select the technologically and economically best-suited production partner for each project. Many highly specialized manufacturers focus entirely on production, quality, and technology, while working internationally with selected engineering sales partners like us. This gives our customers access to first-class manufacturing expertise without paying for duplicated sales structures.

1. Correction of a blocked USB connector
During the design review, we identified that a USB connector had been placed in a mechanically unsuitable position on the PCB and would not have been usable in the final product. Without intervention, this would have led to a redesign, delays, and additional development costs. We coordinated directly with the customer, adjusted the layout at short notice, and made the PCB production-ready within a few days.

2. Substitution of an unavailable connector
A connector specified by the customer was hardly available anywhere on the global market and would have caused lead times of more than six months. Since the project was time-critical, we used our sourcing and engineering network to identify a suitable alternative. We coordinated the substitution with the customer, organized the components, adapted the layout and technical details, and secured the project schedule.

3. Production-ready panelization
The customer provided a panelization concept that was not reliably manufacturable from a production perspective. Without correction, scrap, quality issues, and delays would have been very likely. We completely revised the panelization, taking all production-relevant tolerances and manufacturing requirements into account. This allowed the design to be produced safely and efficiently.

4. Replacement of an obsolete Bluetooth BGA chip
A customer design included a Bluetooth chip whose production status had expired or become critical. The customer was not able to implement the required technical changes internally. We sourced a suitable alternative BGA Bluetooth chip, checked its technical suitability, and adapted the PCB layout accordingly. This kept the project feasible without requiring additional development resources on the customer’s side.

5. Design study for a compact Modbus I/O board
For an agricultural automation application, the customer needed a very compact Modbus-compatible I/O board. Due to limited installation space, standard components could only be used with difficulty. We developed a technical design study, analyzed suitable components, and proposed an economically viable solution. As a result, both space requirements and project costs were significantly reduced.

6. Technical revision of a complex rigid-flex application
In a complex rigid-flex PCB application, it became clear that the customer’s original design would not have been reliably functional for the intended use. Footprints, mechanical mounting points, and structural details were critical. We technically and mechanically revised the design within a few days, corrected the weak points, and enabled a high-quality, fully functional manufacturing solution.
